ABSTRACT
Processes always have room for improvement. Healthcare is no different. Lean is a process improvement journey that, when embraced by imaging professionals, has the potential to lead individuals, departments, and organizations to higher levels of quality and safety, as well as decreased costs for patients and organizations. By challenging conventional healthcare thinking and learning the tools of lean, everyone can help make the process of receiving healthcare a more value-added experience.
